Happy St. Patrick's Day

Celebrating Our Irish Heritage
St. Patrick's Day 2013

We had a great day celebrating St. Patrick's Day.
I cooked corned beef, two kinds of Irish Soda bread with Irish butter,
fresh broccoli, carrots and parsnips,
and delicious colocannon (An Irish potato and cabbage dish).
It was delicious if I may say so myself!
We topped it off with Irish Cream.
Yummy!!!
 I love good Irish food.

Then we watched the videos from our trip to Ireland this past fall.
We haven't been able to watch them yet and it was great!
Well I will say it was a bit sad too because
we miss the landscapes so much.
Ireland is magical!!!
I hope my daughter turns the footage into a movie soon.
Ireland is in our blood and
when Ireland is in your blood...
 it stays forever!

My favorite Irish Movie is
"The Quiet Man"

  1. Love this post. I am 75% Irish was lucky enough to vacation there about 6 year ago. The Emerald Isle is simply stunning! One of my favorite things was visiting the cemeteries with those amazing Celtic cross headstones!
