ON My Easel ...It is Going to Be Fairy Time

Sail Away......
                      to Fairy Play!

Just playing with the chaos. This is so much fun to just play.
Playing with my inner child and connecting to my spirit.

So many layers...so much fun!

Now I am ready to paint the fairies.
Little tiny fairies.

The Story behind this painting begins with a very sad day...
yet ends with a magical and light-hearted evening.

Yesterday, I woke up realizing that it was time to close the doors to the Etsy Team my daughter
and I created a year ago. Sharing HeARTs was a vision I had to bring artist of all kinds together
so that we could share ideas and information. I also saw the team as a promotional vehicle.
I had dreams for it to expand to other avenues in the future.
So when I got the intuitive message that it was time to close the doors I was very, very sad.
It was very difficult decision because I have met some lovely people and made some great friends with many of the members. But I knew it was time because I felt like there was a new door waiting for me. Over the past few months I have been going through some very rapid changes in my life. As I began walking through this healing cycle I felt a shift taking place inside.
So after releasing many tears and shaking off deep sadness, I was finally able to let it go.
As soon as I let go, a wave of peace fell over me,  and I knew then that I had made the right decision.

This painting was a gift from my spirit telling me that I needed to "sail on" so that I could have the time to devote to a whole new chapter in my life. I have been wanting to incorporate a more light-hearted, whimsical feeling to my paintings and I also had been wanting to start painting fairies.
But until now, the energy was never was available. Fairies need a playful feeling and a light touch as well as light a heart. I feel like a butterfly lifting out of her cocoon,
seeing the world through the eyes of a child, a child with wings.

I am ready to step into a more gentler side of myself. As I move closer to my inner child, a playful part of my spirit is beginning to emerge.  Like a child I am ready to.rejoice in the magic of play.
Just play.... for the fun of play!

So When one door closes...
Another door opens.

  6. You're amazing Charlotte! You've turned such a sad day into an amazing piece of beautiful art! I feel connected to this because I was a part of your vision and believe me, your vision touched peoples lives in ways you don't know.
I didn't see the fairies at first until you said something but that just makes it that much more special and mystical. You've channeled your passion brilliantly. I've gone through a change as well and have a good energy now. But I haven't painted anything yet! It's hard for me to paint when I'm sad although it does tend to make me happy if I do!

    1. Oh...Donna you are so supportive. I am having fun with the idea of painting fairies.
When I first starting drawing I drew fairies. I even got Mary Kathryn and her friend Marissa to poise for me.
I look forward to doing some more. Hopefully tomorrow.
      Thanks for the comments!
